My Story
I was born in Syria, raised in Canada and I’m of Armenian heritage. I currently live with my lovely husband in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and spend my time as an art critic, writer, editor and communications specialist.
I edit the award-winning Hyperallergic, the World’s Greatest New York Art Blogazine. In December 2011, Hyperallergic was awarded best international art blog by the Art & Reality conference in St. Petersburg, Russia.
I’ve appeared on Al Jazeera and WNYC as a guest art critic and journalist and my specialty is the radical intersection of image and text.
I’m a board member of the Triangle Arts Association, involved with Ararat Magazine and I live online everywhere, including:
Blog — Flickr — Instagram— LinkedIn — Pinterest — Twitter — YouTube
